Back to school - for me !

Well I did it ! I have enrolled in a Visual Arts course at TAFE . I have wanted to do this course for so long but it was always too far away .Now for the first time they are holding the course in my town !

One slight problem is TAFE requires 10 students to start a class and as this is a small town it might be a problem .

When the call comes I'll be ready . I have my funky computer bag and my brand new pencil roll for my watercolours .

Dick and Jane will be coming to school with me again after over 30 years not being a student .

Here Puss Puss

I know you all think I've just been swanning around accepting awards , hosting giveaways and being a cover girl but I have been working , really I have !

It has been so hot lately that I've done a bit on a new stitchery and stocking up on my scrappy cats for the local craft store . I think I must have a thing for cats lately as another project I am planning has cats too .

Keep cool as a cat in this heat ......

Check out Chester !

There I was minding my own business browsing the craft magazines in the papershop and look who I found , my boy Chester !

Express Publications have put together a collection of 50 previously published projects .

Chester was published last year in Handmade and this year he made the cover ! Yay Chester!

I didn't really need this book as I probably have all the projects from the magazines but when your boy makes the cover you pay up !

Another very special award .

I received another award from a special friend of mine Kyliehttp://abiteofcountrycupcakes.blogspot.com/

I didn't tell everyone about it straight away as it would have run into my 50th post and then my giveaway would have gone wonky .

Anyway it is a very important award and Kylie gave them to a group of us and it was great to be selected with the other ladies .

Really not too sure who I will pass them on to but when I know I'll let you know .

The inscription below is what this award stands for , thankyou Kylie .

Treann from http://treannsplace.blogspot.com/ sent this award to me and the conditions are that I list 5 addictions and pass on this award to 5 other fabulous bloggers . Both lists could go on forever but I will narrow it down .

Addictions - 1.family 2.crafting 3.coffee 4. cricket 5.reading (these are in no particular order)

Now the really hard part choosing only 5 worthy bloggers .

Thanks Treann .

Quick somebody call C.S.I.

Settle down I'm joking .

My dolls sold really well over Christmas and now I need to restock .

After taking the kids for a swim at the pool I sat and watched the cricket and stuffed things .

This is the temperature here (in the shade)at 10.30 in the morning .

Not that I really need an excuse for watching cricket and getting stuffed .

One down , lots to go .

The Craft Forum gave members a challenge to design an item by a selected theme and colour .

Some of the members have been extremely creative and screenprinted fabric and one clever lady designed a doll complete with family history .

My picture was of gingerbread and my colour was pink .

Now I would like to make the most of this and count this as Challenge -Complete .

As you can see from my sidebar I have joined Kris and Mays " Project a Month "

So my little stitchery is doing double duty as - 1. Project Completed .

If you feel like you need a little extra motivation to get through all those projects that have multiplied over Christmas join up for the "Project a Month "
